Grace Centre then out on the streets
Formerly known as the 611 Bus Ministry we began in the year 2000 through contact with street girls and others with life-controlling problems. Volunteers go out on the streets of Huddersfield with our single story, access-type bus providing a friendly face, refreshments and support to drug addicts, alcoholics, homeless people and street working girls.
Living Well shows the love of Jesus to vulnerable people in the community. We aim to support people to break the cycle of life-controlling problems. We go out onto the streets every Saturday night on a specially-adapted welcoming bus, offering a listening ear, food, friendship and prayer support to street workers, alcoholics, drug users and the homeless. We signpost to other agencies and provide a broad social network of support within the Church’s wider community.
