Sunday Services are probably the church meeting you’re most familiar with. At Elim, we have a couple of flavours of them, which are outlined below.
Sunday Morning Services
Start 10:30am @ Grace Centre
Our regular Sunday morning services consist of:
- Sung worship, which may be described as ‘contemporary charismatic’ – hymns and songs, old and new, played in a relaxed, contemporary worship style. We expect to meet with God in Spirit and in truth in our times of worship.
- A message (talk/sermon). Our church often runs series of these from week to week based on a systematic approach to working through a section of the Bible, which is selected for a particular theme that the pastors and leadership team feel is particularly relevant for the moment.
- Children’s and youth groups – see their relevant pages for more information.
- Prayer. A prayer team is often on hand to pray with individuals, and we often pray all together for current affairs and other points
- Refreshments! Tea, coffee and soft drinks are usually served after the service as we spend time catching up with and getting to know each other.
One Church Sundays
First Sunday of each month, starting 10:30am @ Grace Centre
Our family-orientated One Church Sundays follow various formats, but the key difference is that they’re all about having everybody in the room at the same time, kids included. Sometimes they can be a little messy, but on top of the things you can expect to find in a regular Sunday Service, here are some extras that may be included:
- Action Songs
- Craft activities
- Fun & Games
- Sat around tables instead of rows
- Provision for toddlers
Online Services
Sundays @ 10:30am on YouTube
For those who are either physically unable to attend our Sunday gatherings in person, or those who haven’t quite got the confidence to do so yet, we broadcast our Sunday 10:30am gatherings live on YouTube. It usually contains most of the service, including worship songs, the sermon and communion. However, there may be parts of the service that are not broadcast, such as times of prayer and response.
