DRaM

(Dalton, Rawthorpe and Moldgreen)

As part of our vision to transform Huddersfield for Jesus, we are seeking to create a living
Christian presence in the DRaM area. We are actively partnering with other churches and
organisations, Christians and local authorities, to seek Kingdom change in this part of our
town. We are creating a missional community where, rather than expecting people to come
to us, as in the great commission, we are going to them.

We are creating a missional community through

Better Together
We are a group of women from different nations who meet bi-monthly for friendship, food
and to share our stories.

Destination 211
The Destination 211 bus ministry has come to Dalton! The bus parks outside Dalton and St
Joseph’s Primary Schools. Children and parents enjoy a warm space where they can chat
and take part in Bible-related crafts and activities. We also serve hot drinks and snacks.

Community Cafe Church/Messy Church
In partnership with St James Church, Rawthorpe, we have launched a monthly family
service including songs, games, crafts, stories, drama, short talks and time to chat over a
meal. Currently we meet on the second Sunday of the month from 3.30-5pm at St James
Church and Parish Centre, Rawthorpe.

Pray DRaM
We regularly prayer walk the DRaM area, praying for the community, schools, businesses,
families and individuals.

Energize
We run a weekly school club at Rawthorpe St James Infant & Nursery School, where
children play games, sing songs, hear Bible stories and do related craft activities.

Life groups
We have two life groups in the DRaM area. One meets in a home and one in a local cafe.

Monthly Sunday evening services
In 2025 we are looking to launch a monthly Sunday evening service in the DRaM area!
