A meeting place for the over 60s
From time to time we enjoy special events and social occasions such as a Christmas meal and sharing in celebrating members' significant milestone birthdays! We are always looking for new (and younger!) people to take part in the meeting or regulars to help out with the meal preparation and tidy up as, nearly twenty years since this minstry began, many of the original leaders and helpers now qualify to sit down and be served thesedays! |
Currently at a subsidised cost of £1.40, Luncheon Group provides a light lunch, including dessert and tea or coffee and a chance to catch up with friends for a natter. The second hour then opens up into a more organised informative meeting and can include testimonies, a thought for the day, items of poetry or music, watching a dvd or demonstration. Often we are blessed with guest speakers from local and/or charitable organisations or someone from our own church telling us about the one of our other ministries.
