English & Bible Classes Asylum seekers/refugees from over thirty different countries have improved their English and their Bible knowledge at these classes. OpenWORD has an office in the Oasis Centre and runs classes Monday to Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings in term time. Jessica Davies, who heads this ministry, has developed and published some of the lessons that she has written, making them much more widely available. Members from Elim have had an active part in teaching and supporting in classes since its inception in 2005. OpenWORD have held training events around the UK since 2008 including in London, Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Halifax.
