Peter Hannam

Peter and KathPeter, a Yorkshire-man, has been the Pastor of the Elim Pentecostal Church in Huddersfield since September 1980. He is married to Kath and they have two grown up children, Beth (who is married to Dave Sharpe) & Phil. The whole family is actively involved in the church.

Previously the minister at Driffield Elim, God gave Peter a vision for Elim Pentecostal Church, Huddersfield way back in 1979AD! He has never felt free to share the details of that vision with anybody, but it brought him to Huddersfield with an anticipation of God’s blessing. Part of the vision was a new building and this has finally come, almost exactly 29 years after the revelation was given. Because the building was so long in coming, the thought of everything else fitting into place seemed almost impossible, but a recent prophecy given to Peter & Kath spoke of a domino effect which would begin with the entry into a new building. Like dominoes falling one by one, the promises and blessings of God will follow quickly one after another.

Another prophetic word given to Peter & Kath a few years ago spoke of them reaching the nations. They have both traveled to various third world countries but the prophecy is being fulfilled much closer to home with asylum seekers and refugees becoming an increasing part of their ministry and part of our church. The world has been brought to our doorstep.

Peter HannamPeter has worked extensively with other Christian groups, locally and nationally. He has responsibility within Elim beyond the local church, but he has also worked with Christians of different denominations and groups. He is currently chairman of three different Christian Charities and he was formerly Chairman of Kirklees Christian Mission which brought together Christians throughout Kirklees for worship and witness. During that time he had the privilege of mixing with many Christian leaders, (he was even on the platform with Billy Graham).

Peter continues to be a supporter of evangelical Christians working together to further the Kingdom of God. But in the last few years before he retires, he is focussing increasingly upon The Elim Pentecostal Church Huddersfield to which God clearly called Him all those years ago and in which he believes falling dominoes will keep him extremely busy.
